Surface as Memory - An Interview with Aesence
In Surface as Memory, Aesence invited me to reflect on the evolution of my practice, my relationship with material and surface, and the role of memory in my work.
The conversation touches on how my practice has evolved over time, from earlier work with colour and composition towards a more reduced visual language centred on material, texture and surface.
We also spoke about the influence of memory and landscape on my work, and about the processes of layering, sanding and removal that have become central to my practice.
